If you're considering enrolling your child in badminton but aren't sure where to start, here's exactly what to expect from our Learning Game beginner batch.
Who is this program for?
The Learning Game batch is a foundational program for girls aged 8–16, regardless of prior experience. Most of our athletes have never picked up a racket before their first session — that's the point. We teach grip, footwork, and hand-eye coordination from zero, in a supportive, high-energy environment built to build confidence as much as technique.
What a typical session looks like
- Warm-up and footwork drills (15 minutes) — agility ladders, shadow footwork
- Technique block (30 minutes) — grip, serve, and basic strokes broken into small, repeatable drills
- Supervised rally play (20 minutes) — applying the day's technique in real points
- Cool-down and coach feedback (10 minutes)
Sessions run weekly, with coaches tracking each athlete's progress against simple, visible milestones so both the athlete and parent can see improvement over a season.
What it costs
Nothing. The beginner batch is fully funded by donor contributions — specifically our ₹1,000 "Kit Starter" giving tier, which covers a racket and a month of shuttles per athlete. We never want cost to be the reason your child doesn't try the sport.
How to apply
- Fill out the contact form and select "Enrollment: Beginner Batch (Girls)" as the inquiry type.
- Include your child's age and your city/area — this helps us match them to the nearest active batch.
- Our coordinators respond within 48 business hours to confirm the next available session.
What happens after the beginner batch?
Athletes who show consistency and skill progression are considered for our KF Scholarship — a funded placement in a partner professional academy with more intensive coaching and competitive match play.
